Murder in GooglyVille.
Today's story is a bit tragic.
Karl was found dead this morning!
He was run over by a truck, fractures all over his body.
The driver has fled from the spot and is still on the run.
The police have fenced off the crime scene while investigations are still ongoing...
...but we did have a googly eyed witness who saw it all happen.
"I told you people to slow the fuck down!"
Stan is still in shock, it all happened so quickly!
This post features two Googly friends I've previously introduced to you already. You might actually remember Stan from the most recent episode of "Things With Eyes Vol 63" that came out just about a month ago. But Karl, may he rest in peace, was actually really quite old, "Things With Eyes Vol 14" was published over a year ago and that means he even predates the beginning of the great #GooglyPrize competition on steemit by a few weeks!
Now, I have to admit the obvious here, Karl didn't really keep his original eyes throughout all that time, things on the ground just don't stick around very well. For the sake of storytelling I outfitted him with a pair of new eyes for this episode... unfortunately, when I found him like this, I couldn't quite recall the type of eyes I gave him originally and so we are having a wee bit of an issue with continuity here...

Stan on the other hand, he's still looking through his original pair of eyes which I gave him over a month ago. I'm actually a bit surprised by that, given they are just pasted on with some adhesive putty and it's a rather busy corner of the park where a lot of kids come to play...

This post is part of a series in which I want to encourage fellow #GooglyEyes enthusiasts and #GooglyPrize participants to use these wiggly eyes as a tool to a make our physical world a better, a more enjoyable, a more googly place, permanently ... or at least for a bit longer than what it takes to shoot a picture.
It doesn't really matter, though, all types of creative googly expressionism are awesome, but still, my heart beats especially for the idea of hiding a cheerful little surprise to be discovered by a random stranger in the real world, too!

heh... yeah... #GooglyEyes friends should be left to roam freely in their natural habitat... but I think that mostly applies for urban and domestic googlies... I wouldn't want to leave all that plastic behind in the forest :P
I do most of the "eyes" in nature. I try to think of something natural ;-)
hehe, I know, that's why I thought I should mention the aspect of plastic waste here, wouldn't want your local forest all covered with small round pieces of plastic, they'll fall down sooner or later and plastic really doesn't decompose so well :P

well, I certainly didn't invent the idea of putting gooogly eyes on things in public places, but I was most likely the first to post images of that on steemit...
I felt pretty lonely under the tag #GooglyEyes, so I eventually started that little contest to bring some life into this niche...

umm... yeah, #GooglyEyes for peace....
but evil people tend to overlook these funny quirky things... so I'm not sure if it'll do any good against them... it certainly helps to brighten up the day of curious and nice people, though :D
