Only 8374 Steemians made the cut for the Golos network
The cut was done as of Thu, 29 Sep 2016 12:00:00 GMT, and though there are 99,003 steem accounts only 8374 steemians made the cut. (For those who are unaware of what Golos is about, see the following post. It is going to be a Russian language version of steemit, and they were going to do a distribution to steemians who met their criteria).
The criteria was as follows: "Condition: ( steem power > 7 and curation rewards > 0 ) or steem power > 100"
Of course many of the small minnow accounts will have failed the criteria because they simply don't earn curation awards.
But the whole exercise is an interesting insight into what a low number of truly active accounts there are on this network.
If Steemit is to take off it needs more than about 8400 active users.

To find if you are on the list, load the dropbox file, press Ctrl F to generate a "find" box on the bottom left of your browser, and type in your steemit name.

What do you mean made the cut for the golos network?
I'm not sure why people would care about getting power on a platform that don't speak their language at all. It's like giving bonus point on a chinese video game that you don't understand, it's pretty useless.
As part of their deal with ned and dan, they're doing a coin drop in the first month for those who make the cut.
The golos coins will have value, they're likely to get listed on an exchange such as yobit (russian exchange), where you will be able to exchange them for bitcoin. It's free money.

Follow @hipster to find out updates, but my understanding is that they launch in mid October, to log into your golos account you use your same login for steemit (they are hardforking to create their coin) and the coindrop will get allocated to your account a month after they launch
