Ben Hogan Award for second consecutive year Gear used by Ludwig Aberg

Ludwig Aberg, a senior at Texas Tech University, recently earned the right to be immediately promoted to the Tour after finishing first at PGA TOUR University.

The 23-year-old from Sweden now holds membership (seeding rights) for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. He will make his professional debut this week at the RBC Canadian Open, where he qualified in 33rd place heading into the final round.

Among his many accomplishments, he has previously been ranked the number one amateur golfer in the world. He also won the Ben Hogan Award, given to the best student golfer of the year in the United States, for the second year in a row. He and Jon Rahm are the only two people to have won the award two years in a row.

He also placed 24th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational this year and qualified for the Valspar Championship (61st). At the Valspar Championship, he averaged 308.4 yds off the tee and finished 6th in driving distance. At the "Arnold Palmer Invitational," he placed 14th in the same stats (308.1yd) and 6th in stroke gain putting.

Note that although he has confirmed his seeding on the PGA Tour, he has not yet signed a full bag of equipment contract with a specific manufacturer.
