This is my photo for the weekly Sunday contest #goldenhourphotography.
Lake Myvatn is in a highly active geothermal area surrounded hot springs and volcanic craters. The sulfur smell is pretty strong but you get used to it while exploring the area. Here you see a beautiful sunset at the lake.

Had the pleasure of going there several years ago. Wonderful area. The hot pools there had no one in it -- I was literally the only person there.
It's a great area to explore. But actually you can say that about the whole island of Iceland:)
