Sahara Sunrise with Camel

in #goldenhourphotography6 years ago (edited)

This photo is quite experimental: I disrespected the most basic rule of photography that says that unless you are aiming for silhouettes, you never take a photo against the light. However, I captured three images with different exposures and combined them into an HDR and with some post-processing, I was able to get this result!

Awesome HDR shot! Resteemed.

Amazing, thank you!

Love it. Such beautiful framing.

The rule you mention is archaic and before we had lenses with such amazing sun-stars and sensors which could capture extended dynamic range (even if over a few brackets) . Try doing it with Fuji Velvia and you will see why people used to think that way.

That is true! The dynamic-range of modern sensors is just incredible and computer processing even offers more opportunities such as HDRs.

What an amazing shot! Sometimes it's the best way to disrespect rules =)

Haha couldn't agree more!

Yes man! The camels haha, so epic.

Let's see how much you like them after you have spent a few hours on their back!

Haha touché. You need like a memory foam saddle when riding one of those

I really love your work and shots but I do feel sorry for that camel.. 😔

Well, contrary to those two-legged amateurs known as humans, camels can actually stand on one leg less without any problems! :D

Hahaha, good one :D

Wow! Great composite work! Love that you have all the exposures. Way cooler than a silhouette.

Awesome Work!

Well captured against the light! Just stunning and to get the light in between the camel's legs is more impressive 😊

✈️👫

Thanks :) I moved around quite a bit to find in the best position to capture this photo

This camel looks stunning. I'm not too good with exposures and stuff but I know what's good or not. this is definitely one. ^^

Thank you for your nice words :)
