The condition of Le Père Goriot gets worse after he realizes that his daughters will not come to see him. He curses them and dies in the indifference of the other residents of the boarding house, and almost in the sight of Delfina, who appears to be pressed by the need for money. But the daughter is not interested in the further fate of her father. Cultivan himself accompanies the funeral hearings with the corpse of Le Père Goriot to the Per-Lachéz cemetery, from where he challenges the Paris, the city of the successful ones: "Now we only have the two of us!" Then he goes to Mrs. de Noussignen's dinner. Like every polyphonic novel, " Le Père Goriot" offers artistic provocations with remarkably powerful simplicity and ever-increasing complexity.
In its creation, the author borrows the inherent structure of the French classical tragedy: a detailed introduction, a dramatic core, and a sudden, terrifying stunt. He takes advantage of his knowledge of theatrical poetics and applies them in the narrative: carefully prepares and carefully develops each scene. Each of his main actors reveals the fundamental foundations of his character in a dramatic, life-critical situation: the young Rastynach, for example, is particularly important for successful entry into the world of life, for the former Votren prisoner, the most important thing is to achieve freedom and anonymity, but his fate is to go back to jail, the only urge of Le Père Goriot to regain the admiration of daughters, but his fate orders him to die without seeing them. The theme chosen by Balzac also has an impact on the events and their reflection as dramatic events: especially, it strongly affects the vileness of the impoverished grandfather Gorio, to experience in almost complete loneliness the bitterness and the stupefaction of his father unable to integrate his children. This Christ of Paternity, the one who is affectionate with a mad passion in his daughters' father, who has fallen shortly before his death in utter despondency, does not hesitate to experience the delight of an indirect rapprochement with his daughter, to push the young Rastiniak into the arms of Delfina, abandoned by her lover Marcea, whose debts are forced to pay.
Planton finds himself in a dramatic situation subject to a double temptation. On one side, he totally tempts his father, loving the daughter, who is offered to him by one of them - the Dolphin. In opposition to these two tempting proposals is presented the alternative, no less attractive, position of friend Bianshon, whose passionate dedication to science is an example of selfless service of a high ideal - the health of the people. Faced with the desire to necessarily succeed, devoted to the revelation of the secret of success in society, Rastinjak decides to self-educate through his passionate vow of the women who are rising in him. Thus, the young hero of Balzac thinks it is best to study the great book of the higher society and take his enlightenment journey through him.
