What will you make of someone if he were to write and tell you that he's god? A gazetted officer did just that. According to him, India gets good rainfall for the last 19 years because of his meditation. And that he is Kalki, the tenth incarnation of Hindu god Vishnu.
The mighty name is Rameshchandra Fefar; by profession, he's a superintending engineer with the Sardar Sarovar Punarvasvat Agency (SSPA), which looks after rehabilitation of Sardar Sarovar Project-affected persons.
While the news made my day, I felt terribly bad for those affected by his absence at work. The man's bizarre reply to a show-cause notice served to him has gone viral.
In his two-page reply, he said he can't do penance while sitting in office; it has to be done at home. How? By sitting at home and entering into fifth dimension. To do exactly what? To change the global conscience.
The man's in his late 50's. And government servant in the state of Gujarat. For the last eight months, he attended office for only 16 days. Now his two-page reply... is the latest internet sensation... of Prime Minister Modi's India.
The entertainment industry is at risk of Job loss to such news items. :) My stomach hurts from laughing.
