SEC-S19 / W3 | Types of vegetable cuts most used in the kitchen.

Hello Gastronomy Teams

Hello My Steemain Friends ,

How are you. I hope you people of steemian are good and enjoy your life . Well I am well. May God bless you all. Today I am writing about an interesting Steemit Engagement Challenge S19 - W3: which is all time my favourite topic “Types of vegetable cuts most commonly used in the kitchen..". So, in this post I am going to share my point of view about this topic.

We often work in the kitchen, but sometimes we don't know the names of the work. Like here in the competition it was told that even the cuts of vegetables have names. Actually I have heard these names for the first time. Because in simple language we say that we have to cut the vegetables lengthwise or cut them into small pieces or cut it into four pieces or this vegetable will be cut round. In the same way we speak in simple words, but what are the actual names of the cuts of these vegetables.

IMG-202407270012.jpg

Today I came to know this and I really enjoyed it that the things which we use daily, we don't really know their names. This competition, this course is very useful for the information of a housewife. When we know the definition of anything well, then it is even more enjoyable to do that work. This competition is giving me a lot of pleasure, because I am getting to learn a lot. Here we have been told about six types of cuts which is very interesting.

Choose 2 cuts learned today, accompany each cut with a photo of your own.

The cut of any type of vegetable is also important for cooking. We cannot cut every vegetable in the same cut. All vegetables are cut in different cuts and the more beautifully and equally it is cut, the less time it will take to cook. If we keep small or big pieces of the cut vegetables, then the small sized vegetables will cook quickly and the vegetables cut in large size will take time to cook. Therefore, whenever we cut any vegetable, we cut it in equal cuts, so that the whole vegetable gets cooked properly at one time.

Before cutting any vegetable, it is very important to wash it and remove its excess water and then we need a board and a sharp knife. Which we can use easily, because vegetables look beautiful, if the edges of the vegetables do not look crooked, then it looks good.

Brunoisse cut

I mostly use this cut in my kitchen. While cooking, these vegetables cut in the shape of small cubes get cooked quickly because they are cut uniformly and cut into small pieces.

I use this type of cut to cut tomatoes, Isometimes use this type of cut tomatoes in the gravy of chickpeas, because it thickens the gravy.

Stick cut

This type of cut is used to cut salads. We cut cucumber, radish, potato fingers, carrot in this cut for salad. And potatoes are also cut in this cut for French fries.

I also sometimes cut ladyfinger in this cut and my children like it a lot.

Research 2 types of vegetable cuts that have not been shared in this course, make them and accompany the process with a photo.

Caraway (big dice)

This type of cut is used to cut solid vegetables. We use this type of cut to cut vegetables and fruits in large pieces, like we use this cut to cut potatoes, papaya, watermelon. Potatoes

We mostly like to make this type of chopped potatoes by roasting or frying them.

Chopping onion into rings

When we chop this type of onion, while making cuts, we keep rotating it lightly with our hands and keep making cuts.

Due to which the onion comes in the form of rings and its strips are very thin. People like to eat it in salad, with biryani, with kebab paratha.

Use one or more of the cuts made for this course and use them in some preparation, share the images and details.

Tell me in which course I will use one types of cuts in making my recipe today. I use the type of "Brunoisse cut".

First of all I took tomatoes and cut them into small pieces of same size, so that they melt easily in our gravy. Today I will use these small chopped tomatoes in the recipe of chole . When our tempering was ready. Then I added chopped tomatoes in it, which I fried on low flame. They were cut in small size,

so they melted easily. Then I added spices to it, then we added boiled chickpeas and cooked it on medium flame for 10 minutes. Then I added finely chopped coriander leaves and completed the recipe.

We want to know your opinion about this course, you can share it with us.

This course is really very useful and fun. It is also very important for those who do not know how to cook well, because in this course you have told the method of cutting vegetables by placing them on the board, so that people's hands do not get hurt and the vegetables are cut beautifully and cut equally.

The methods of cutting vegetables have been expressed here in a very interesting way. We come to know that whether it is our country or any other country, the method of cutting vegetables is the same everywhere. Through this course we are understanding that only languages are different, everything else is the same.

From this type of competition, we got information about many types of spices, cutting of vegetables and special dishes made in many ways, which is very beneficial for a housewife. You should keep organizing such new and interesting competitions. So that housewives get a chance to showcase their cooking skills here. Sometimes we get tired or bored while doing this work. This competition is giving us joy in that too.

Your stick cut and Caraway (big dice) are beautiful. These two patterns never goes out of style in the kitchen. I like the big dice mostly for sweet potatoes fries. That cut made with cucumber on the last photo is really attractive. Your presentation is superb, well done and many success to you friend!
