My passion for agriculture began as an 8-year-old child. At that time I lived in a rural suburb of large areas. My father and my grandparents were country people, they were very familiar with the origins of sowing.

The work of agriculture was to prepare the land for planting, we planted corn, manioc, squash, tomatoes, peppers, different vegetables and vegetables, today I want to share with you all the manual process that we carried out with my grandmother and my mother in planting N. This procedure is called an organic procedure because no fertilizer or pesticide is used. Only hangover or cow dung.

The morrones start being green, then it turns yellow, then orange and finally red, the pepper as it changes color in turn is acquiring more sweetness, the green pepper is a bit bitter being red the sweetest.

Another thing to keep in mind when it comes to cooking the morrón, is the smaller the size is the more spicy.

Vitamins C, B6, A and E "a good" antioxidant and anticancer because of its content Lycopene "is the best in all aspects, it is the one that has matured, the sweetest and the one that contributes most benefits to the human organism.

The work to plant the morrón is very simple, it has five fundamental steps, to clean the earth, to remove the earth, to fertilize the earth, to plant and to transplant, it is fundamental the preparation of the land for the success of the harvest.

The work begins by cleaning very well the surface to be planted, in this procedure removes all the yuyo or the grass with a hoe of hand, as we see in the image

Once the soil has been cleaned, all weeds must be raked and removed, after weeding has been completed, the next step is to remove the soil, 30 centimeters deep, or the top of a spade. That the earth is soft and can develop without problem the plant of the morrón.

The next job is to fertilize the soil, fertilizer is mixed with the soil, here we use cow dung and hangover, the hangover is achieved in the forest, the leaves and sticks that fall to the ground are disseminated and Are mixed with the earth, this mixture of sticks, herbs and black soil is what we call hangover, others use garbage previously buried and scattered in the earth, once fertilized the surface, we have to rake the soil to leave the surface Smooth, as we see in the image.

Once matched to the ground, we are in a position to prepare our soul, we pull a few strands to form the rectangle 2 meters long by 70 centimeters wide, this is where we are going to plant our seed of morrón, see the image.

Once the soul is made, we are ready to begin sowing. The morrón grows from its own seed, begins to plant in the months of July to September, it must distribute between "10 and 15 grams of seeds per m2", of these will leave "700 to 1000 plants"

The plant of morrón undergoes the low temperatures, for that reason the storage one has to cover them with some plastics as we see in the image.

Soon the plants will start to leave, it is essential to go cleaning maintenance by removing all the weeds, water frequently but not too much the plant can not be submerged in water, the forty days from the date of planting we are in a position to transplant The plant to its final stock, you will notice when the plant is ready to transplant when it has "4 to 5 leaves" or a size of "10 to 12 cm in height" as we see in the image.

Before planting we have to prepare the final stock, we must throw some files to plant as straight as possible leaving a space of one meter between each file. As we see in the image

Once done, we are able to transplant the morrón, we must plant a plant in each hole leaving a space of 40 to 50 centimeters between each plant, the maintenance of the morrón is very simple, only have to water periodically and Remove all weeds as they appear.

The plant of the morrón will be ready to harvest to the "70 or 80 days" from the date of having transplanted, to harvest the morrón is very simple only to be extracted the fruit of the plant, it is advisable to take out the morrón every time it leaves To consume, to keep them always fresh

Great idea to post foods from your area on Mondays. Nice to see what grows in your "neck of the woods", as we say here. Also, what is 'hangover'? Not familiar with that term. Thanks for the great post. Garden on.

You're welcome! :)

I have never heard or seen of half of them colours. Would be lovely to grow your own, well done :)

That is a great idea, it grows from the same seed and can plant it in a planter, it does not take so much space.
Thank you very much dear friend @ karenb54 for the great support you give to my work
