6000 BULBS and a VOLCANO!steemCreated with Sketch.

HI Everyone...WOW, my fellow garden associates and I have been non-stop since the weather has begun to cooperate - almost too busy to post ;-)

Today, in the rain, we went to one of our clients (who we visit once a week and has a very large property), and last fall...

we planted 5500-6000 bulbs!

We planted a variety of daffodils outside their fence (deer won't eat them), and we planted a combo of tulips and daffs and scilla and alium and you-name-it-we-planted-it on the inside of their fence.

Here are some of the results...

Tulips and more coming up on the back pathway

A close up on the path where you can see muscari, scilla, and anemone.

Just beyond this is a hillside of tulips which are not in bloom yet. I cannot wait to take a photo to share with you!!

And here is an adorable anemone close-up

The rain really started to come down and my iphone 6+ was not cooperating....so more pics on another day :-)

OH, wait! one last pic for those of you who saw my NO VOLCANOS! post...I took this from the window of our truck as we passed through a nearby town. These stupid and unnecessary volcanos are everywhere!

PLEASE! NO VOLCANOS!

@gardenlady

holy freaking moly! that's a lot of bulbs!
sounds like Keukenhof
btw one of the link is not working - under the 3rd picture?
Looking forward to the hills of tulips! ^ ^

thanks, I'll fix

Those mulch volcanoes should be enough grounds to require the landscape business to come and fix what they've done. Professional landscapers that make those mulch volcanoes should be replaced by folks that know better. All that heat and moisture up around the base is just asking for bark trouble. I don't understand how that got started to even seem to be acceptable. Rant over, lol.

Nice daffodil planting! Will they leave them to get more dense over the years? Looking forward to the tulips. Welcome to Spring!

That's going to look amazing when they all flower. Great job. following back :)

Breath taking! good job.

Thank you for posting @gardenlady.

Lovely results of garden work on a large scale. Appreciate you bringing a bit of Spring to Steemit.

You're welcome, and thank you!

That is one heck of a lot of bulbs but what a result!!! Which ones are the sorry of pyramidal purple ones. I like them a lot.

The little purple pyramids (sounds like an illicit drug ;-) are muscari. They are very prolific...eventually they'll spread all over for a beautiful effect.

I am going to get my sweaty garden hands on them then! :0D

May I suggest a pair of these :-)

Haha, yes. They do look rather stylish compared to my grubby old things!!

I didn't realize that deer won't eat daffodils. One more reason to add them to my fall to-do list, once I've spent this spring and summer getting the rest of our yard into shape. Thanks for sharing your photos! I am now following you and looking forward to more.

thanks redhen! and glad to help :-)
