Black Carrots

These Pusa Asita black carrots are simply amazing. I've never grown anything quite like it! I bought them from Baker Creek Seeds in the spring and didn't read up on them much before planting them.

They're fluffy! 😆

They're funky! ✌️

And they're so cool!

Such AMAZING colour! It's extremely strong dye too, you could easily dye clothing, which I will be giving try at some point so keep an eye out for that!

Something else I love is their flowers! I've had a couple go to seed and the flowers are some of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I've always loved the look of
umbellifers/carrot family plants anyway, so it's no wonder why I love these!

They have great flavour too, sweet, pretty mild and delicate. Which is quite the strange juxtaposition to the monstrous beasts we pull out of the ground, they look much more like robust flavoured beets than sweet delicious carrots!

Either way, I loved growing these, I'll be sure to collect their seeds to save for next year ❤️
