How-to Play the Sims- The Jungle Adventure- Exploring the Jungle

Hi! Welcome to How-to Play the Sims 4. It has been a while since I have posted a how-to about the Sims, and I am very excited that The Sims 4 has come out with a new vacation spot in the jungle. This game pack includes lots of fun adventures, skills, and rewards.

I have been using Snookie and Simi Freesong to explore the new jungle. They are young Sims, and do not have very high skills. Having higher skills will help the Sims survive the jungle. There are many dangers in the jungle, and the Sims must prepare for the long journey.

Snookie and Simi started early in the morning prepared for the hike through the jungle. The first entrance way was already cleared, so they could go further into the jungle this trip. Snookie has the machete so she was the one who did most of the vine clearing. While doing this, she was able to increase her gardening skills.

Once the next entrance way was cleared, Snookie entered and she found an abandoned traveler’s bag. I was given the option to let Snookie leave the bag lay and keep going or have her search the bag for any left-over supplies. I chose to search that bag. The quest reveals that Snookie pokes the bag with a stick and a poisonous scorpion crawls away.

Inside the bag Snookie found a grilled cheese that never goes bad, and an energy drink. Score!

Traveling through together, Snookie and Simi found the remains of a plane, and a few archaeological dig sites. The area was very expansive and covered with jungle plants. Snookie and Simi purchased their archaeology tables from the vendor in town, so they were able to dig the piles around the area. Since there were two dig sites, they could each dig their own site.

As the Sims’ archeology skill rises, they will be able build a site that other sims can join, but for now Snookie and Simi will have to take turns excavating the dig sites. With higher archeology skills, they will also find more dig sites, and can excavate artifacts without damaging them.

When you see a dig pile in the jungle, you can send your Sim to dig. They will pull out their tools and then begin digging. The first time they start to dig they will gain the archaeology skill. As they dig they will increase their skill.

To find these dig sites, you will need to zoom out on the map and then mouse over the area to find the piles. The Sims will wonder off while you are doing this, so I paused the game while I searched the area. This way I wouldn’t lose them in the jungle.

Snookie also learned the archeology skill. She used the tools, and then she took pictures. With a high archology skill, they can also authenticate artifacts.

Snookie and Simi also found a treasure chest in this part of the jungle. In the treasure chest was a piece of a totem. With higher culture and archeology skills, the Sims can combine pieces to make powerful totems.

Snookie and Simi were able to see the ruins of this temple, but they were not able to visit it. The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure has some nice decorations, and sights in the jungle.

Further into the jungle, the next entrance Snookie and Sim encountered a jaguar who looked as if it were stalking something. I was given the choice to watch the jaguar, or to quietly slip away. I won’t tell you which one I chose, but I will say it ended badly.

While at the next part of the jungle, there was only one dig site, so only Snookie could dig this time. For those who are wondering, there are bushes that the Sims can use to go to the bathroom, but there is no place in the jungle to eat. You can pack a sacked lunch while at the bungalow, or you can make food at the park, and then make a sack lunch from that food to eat later during the hike.

The next entrance Snookie and Simi came across small group of capybaras hanging out by the water hole. Snookie noticed that one of them were about to walk into a swarm of bees. This time I was given the option to wait and see, or to scare off the bees. Again, this did not end well for Snookie.

She lost her machete at this point, so they were not able to get through another set of vines. Snookie and Simi had hiked to have reached the high spot of the jungle. They got a buff, helping to increase their mood.

The next part of the jungle Snookie and Simi got to visit during this jungle adventure was the Omiscan Royal Baths. They were transported to the baths, where they found more entrances. Since they were getting tired and hungry, I chose to end the day here.

I will need to go back to the vendors outside the bar to get another machete before they can go any further into the jungle. You have the option to clear the vines with their hands, but it takes longer, and it hurts their hands. Sims with higher gardening skills can clear faster with their hands.

I hope you have learned more about how to play the Sims 4, and how to navigate your way through the jungle in the Sims 4 Jungle Adventure game pack. I have some footage of the jungle on video, but it will take a minute to put it together. I will try to upload it to Dtube when I can. If you have not tried the jungle adventure yet, you should consider it. It is filled with a lot of activities, photo opportunities, and skill building.
