How-to Play the Sims- The Jungle Adventure- The Culture and Exploring the Jungle
Hi! Welcome to How-to Play the Sims 4. It has been a while since I have posted a how-to about the Sims, and I am very excited that The Sims 4 has come out with a new vacation spot in the jungle. This game pack includes lots of fun adventures, skills, and rewards.
Snookie and Simi started their jungle adventure by hanging out at the local tavern. They began chatting with the natives of the town and began building their culture skills. The Selvadoradian culture skill will allow your Sim to appreciate the local culture, food and dance. They can also learn more local survival tips, and new guitar songs. Snookie and Simi acquired the skill easily by interacting with the locals who were hanging out in the bar.
The next day Snookie and Simi went out to the museum to learn more about the Selvadoradian culture. The museum is very small but packed with totems, paintings, and sculptures that represent the local culture of the jungle. There are also some cool decorations, and ruins behind the museum to explore.
They took lots of photos of the museum.
While at the museum, Snookie and Simi talked to some locals, and were able to ask about the local sights, the ruins and the jungle. The higher the Sim’s culture skill the better they will survive while traveling through the jungle. Sims with a high Selvadoradian skill can use Selvadoradian greetings and retell the stories of the village.
You can tell the locals from other tourists by the clothes they wear. Most of the locals running the vendor booths will give you the option to ask about local sights. You can also haggle with the vendors to get discounts on goods and wares. Once a Sims culture skill is high enough they can trade bone dust for poison antidotes. They can also purchase “secret items”
Your Sims can find the beginning of the jungle, by traveling to the park. At the park you can cook on the outside BBQ, sit and eat lunch, and there is also a bathroom to use there. Near the entrance to the jungle is a sign post that will give you the option of reading the poison awareness posting, reading the preparation list, and travel back to the map where you can then select a destination in town.
These options help your Sim know what to expect once they begin their travels through the jungle. I was not quite sure what to do here, I had Snookie use the machete to clear away the vines blocking the entrance.
When you first enter the jungle, your Sim will need to clear the path, they can do this by using their hands, or by using the machete. Snookie pulled out the machete and began to clear the path. I was able to get the basic survival supplies before this attempt, so Snookie had a machete in her inventory, so that was good.
It took a few minutes for the path to be cleared, but once it was cleared it did not grow over again. The entrance turns into a portal, and since I didn’t know what I was doing, Snookie went in by herself. The lessons explain that a higher level of gardening skill helps to clear these paths faster.
When Snookie went into the jungle alone, she ran into a lost archaeologist and had the option to save his backpack that had fallen into the quicksand. Its said that a high level of fishing skill would help complete the quest. Neither of these Sims have high skills in fishing, but I chose the option to help the archaeologist.
Snookie tried her best to fish out the bag but managed to lose the bag and it sunk in the quick sand. The archeologist was mad, and Snookie was embarrassed. I haven’t found a place to level up the fishing skill here in the jungle, but if I do, they may need to level their fishing skills while on vacation.
I decided I would need to go back to town to learn more about the culture before going back to the jungle. I found that the Selvadoradian culture skill did increase while eating the food, viewing the statue in town and by chatting to the vendors.
I was also able to find the exploration gear from the vendors. This includes a lantern and an archaeology table. With new cultural knowledge, and more supplies, Snookie and Simi went back to the park, and I figured out how to send them through the jungle portal together.
They can now continue to discover more of the jungle together. There are more entrances blocked by vines, needing clearing. If there is a rock covering the entrance, this means the entrance is not available during this vacation. You will need to come back at another time to see if this entrance is open for your Sim.
The supplies include a can of bug spray and can help with the bugs in the jungle. A high athletic skill and logic skills can help your Sim survive the jungle. If you discover the hidden areas in the jungle, your Sim may discover dig sites, collectables and buffs.
I hope you have learned a little more about how-to play the Sims 4, and how to begin the jungle exploration in the new game pack. Exploring the jungle in the Jungle Adventure game pack, is an ongoing quest that can be done a little at a time, or all at one time. It will take an entire vacation, or possibly more than one to discover all the new places in this new destination vacation.
Until next time,
Happy Gaming- Sim Girl
