Netflix and TV channels are still missing this cool game series!

Every year there are a lot of rumors about films and series that have yet to come. With quite a few game film versions in the past (Assassin's Creed, Ratchet and Clank etc.) it is also interesting to see what their own game series should appear for on Netflix or on television.

Halo

Halo fans have been waiting for years to watch a game series from Halo. Showtime announced in 2013 that they are working on a television series by Halo, but after that it remained very quiet around the series. Recently the news was announced that there is still going on. The question, on the other hand, is how much momentum behind this whole event is, of course, if the project has already been going on for more than four years.

In any case, the Halo universe knows enough story to be able to process neatly in a television series. Two years ago, the fifth part appeared in the long series of Halo games. If this is properly addressed, there may be several seasons in it.

The Legend of Zelda

Over the years there have been quite a few rumors about a The Legend of Zelda film. Previously fans made their own film full of enthusiasm, but it did not stay online for long. After the film got a big popularity wave, Nintendo took the film offline. Could Zelda not gain the same popularity as, for example, Netflix would come up with a game series?

There are quite a few games that makers can base their story on. Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, almost every game is suitable. There are also a lot of storylines with even a complete timeline, which you can read in Hyrule Historia. There is at least enough source material to be able to draw a rich film.

If there is a The Legend of Zelda series, then it will probably not be a usual series. Earlier, Eunoma also said he was open to a film adaptation, provided that it would not become a standard film: "If a film comes from, it will be an interactive film - probably when you can take your 3DS to the cinema and join in on a certain way, we do not want to make a traditional film".

Zero Escape: Virtues Last Reward

If you want to make a series of a game, grab a game that already contains a lot of story. Which games have so much story now that this is possible? Indeed, visual novels! These games are completely driven by their story and that is why it is not surprising to put them in a more visual way by creating a television series.

In Virtues Last Reward, nine people are locked up in a building. Among them is one traitor, Zero. While you follow different storylines, make choices with whom you want or do not want through one door and solve puzzles, you get to know more and more about the different characters and thus also who is actually the traitor Zero who has locked everyone up for a gruesome experiment.

Mario

The mustachioed plumber could do well in his own series. It could be a start of a very colorful series with a very simple story but with a good dose of humor. If the series makers know how to translate the same humor as in the games into a series, then it's a mustache that Mario is a suitable candidate for his own series!

In the past there was even a short television series about the adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. In this series, Mario regularly competed against several well-known enemies, including Bowser (previously known as King Koopa) and his Koopa children. Episodes of this series have also appeared on DVD and are available at bol.com .

In 1993 there was a film screening of the Mario brothers on the silver screen. This movie, Super Mario Bros. was a flop. There was considerable criticism expressed at the time on the film.

Metroid

A lot of Nintendo movies have already passed in the list. That is not surprising, because there is already a lot of interest from the business community to cast well-known franchises from Nintendo in a film or series. For example, Hollywood expressed interest in a Mario, Zelda and Metroid movie. Also a series about Metroid would be a great game series on TV!

With the large number of games that are already available, serial producers can already be well under way at least. However, they have to work carefully, because Metroid fans can be a very critical audience. It should therefore not deviate too much from the current standards. After all, the serial producers do not want stop-production-surveys like they did when releasing the somewhat different game Metroid Federation Force. In addition to television series, there are of course plenty of games suitable for the white screen.
