Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire Plot Review - Layton to new puzzles

Professor Layton has disappeared, but fortunately his daughter Katrielle is at least so clever. Therefore, she starts her own detective company to solve mysterious business. This she does with her assistant and a talking dog.

Meanwhile, this game series has ended at the point that characters are no longer doing their best to process the puzzles subtly in the story. Was there in the previous games regularly "that reminds me of the puzzle!" called up, do not look strange this time when puzzles are just around the corner. Of course there are also characters that you only want to help if you first solve a brain breaker for them.

The fork in the handle

The story of the game is about various issues that you need to solve as a detective. By speaking people and visiting locations, you can play puzzle pieces for the solutions. It's a pity that this concept will not be done anymore. If you have all the pieces together, you only have to press the solving button so Katrielle tells how the fork sticks into the stem. With a bit more creativity from the creators, there was also a puzzle in these solutions.

It is also worth noting that the inspiration for this series begins to hit. Certainly, the first editions of the Layton series were marked by clever puzzles that often affected the environment and progress of the story, but this is not the case in this part. Not only do the puzzles stand entirely apart from the story, as well as the quality is against. The brain breakers are either very simple, or you are being frustrated in a frustrating way.

Smartphone Game

This Layton game is also coming out for smartphones for the first time. In fact, the game has been playing for a month. The adjustments in the game are partly explained by that. The story is divided into short pieces and the puzzles do not ask you too much. This makes the game fit for picking up here and there, doing a puzzle, or getting a piece of story.

At least, what players on both systems do not help, is that the translation drops here and there. These are not big mistakes, but for a game where any word can be a hint to the solution of the puzzle it is not acceptable. For example, if there are "girls" and "girl" is meant, or if there is a couple, yet more than two are meant.

Layton's Mystery Journey has enough content, with business, puzzles and some extra mini games. In any event, you have enough to do. It results in a fun puzzle game that needed a little more focus on quality than quantity.

Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire Plot is a fun puzzle game for interiors, with crazy characters and beautiful environments. However, this part does not cover the level of former Professor Layton games soon. That's not the new main character, but the quality of the puzzles and the story.
