IBT Survival Island Game - Progress Report One

Welcome to the IBT Survival Island regular progress report/update post -  these updates will be posted weekly if possible.

As you know we are at it again and IBT construction is back!. Games have hit a whole new level in the crypto sphere and so  the bar must be raised again - this project is bigger and badder than any others I have seen to date - The vision is to create a multi-player Open World IBT Survival Island game that uses SMT tokens and pays in Steem.

This weeks update on game making progress.

This is tough, there is allot of work...but my bro lordroach is doing the heavy lifting and we are keen to bring something trail blazing and exclusive to Steem.

Why? I just love Steem so much I can't help myself...haha and it's fun learning things.

IBT Survival Island is being built with UE4 (Unreal Editor 4) which is pretty new; and I'm currently researching a few creative ways to interact with the blockchain - so who knows how far we will go with this. It's all new and allot of effort, but also allot of fun.

Anyways on with the update, this week it is mostly around environment and getting the most out of this professional game editor.

Firstly a quick view on how the HUD is progressing.

What do you think of the HUD? Is it fun enough and remind you of old classic IBT humour?

From a game play point of view it's important to have some...unconventional meters for players. I mean this is a reality survival game your not just going to be hungry and thirsty (like other lame survival games). Being lost and alone in the bush is pretty brutal and its going to effect things like your mental state

Everything is being created from scratch and so this is a massive effort. Specifically this week some work has gone into creating some native fruits and vegetation, I'm not going to give away all the goodies with these weekly updates but here are a few samples to help keep you in the picture.

 Quandong  (Santalum acuminatum)

Or otherwise known by us Aussies as Wild Peach - you come across one of these suckers if lost in the Aussie bush and you won't die of scurvy anytime soon haha.

 Muntries/Native cranberry/Emu apples (Kunzea pomifera)

err.... very effective, especially if you like playing @Drugwars - perhaps some small hallucinogenic effects of great value.

There are many things of use in the Aussie bush environment, but right now we are just looking at basic scavenge bush food sources.
