Zombie Adventure - Game 23 - Day 7 (June 20, 2018)

It's getting crowded at the car! We need some clean-up of zombies PRONTO!

It has been requested that I make the game harder, so for this game, instead of 1 zombie spawning at each spawn zone, 2 will spawn instead. Also, when a Molotov is thrown, it will burn for the entire day and the following day, essentially blocking access for the rest of the day and the next day for BOTH zombies and players.

Objective: Recover the hidden treasure from the doorless room.

Zombie Turn after the players made their moves:

All zombies pre-existing on the board move. A hulk and injured walker, plus another walker and runner attack P7, P1 & P3. Rolls are 6,3,6,6. YIKE! That's 3 successful hits on: Rolls = 5,5,9,2,2,2,4,1,6,2,10,4,7,3, so the damage is spread to all 3 players. Unfortunately, P7 now has 3 damage and has died; our first casualty!

Zombies spawn at spawn sites:
West rolls a 5,1 - runner, nothing
North rolls a 6,6 - hulk, hulk
East rolls a 1,5 - nothing, runner

So I’m staring down 3 hulks and a half health walker.

Action 1: Miss the attack on a walker using the bat.
Action 2: Kill a (full-health) walker.

Player 8 (6th)

Passing the torch takes 1 action, so it may not be in your best interest to do so that AND walk into 2 hulks at once alone. Besides, you need to say which player is to get the torch. By NOT passing the torch, you get to do the other 3 actions you did specify.
Action 1: Use the rifle to shoot at the injured hulk to the north. Rolled 4 for a kill.
Action 2: Move north.
Action 3: Shoot at the walker to the west. Roll 6 for another kill.

Fails 3 times to cause any damage; and no, you can't escape now. Hopefully you survive long enough for the cavalry to get there with some weapons. The other option is to search the car and see if you find anything better, but that has risks!

Ok so I think it's pretty certain we are all going to die :)
Maybe this double spawn rate is too much in hindsight... perhaps we need some kind of in-between, or something that starts slow but slowly increases in spawnrate. And perhaps a bigger map so we can use ranged a little easier to keep them at bay. Or what about a scenario where we push a button as a mission-quest and that activates the higher spawn rate? This would enable us to get geared up and prepare a bit more

I agree for the most part, but if P7 hadn't committed suicide, things might have been very different. I'm curious to see if there is even a chance to recover.

Yeah, P7' suicide run... and you guys slight empathy problem were the cause of your future zombie steak state 😛

No, it was the only choice to charge in. We could have let P7 get swarmed but that would have made the situation terrible for us too because it would allow all the zombies to pile up and gather on top of P7 for a turn or two, after which the inevitable wave towards us would be even bigger. The only option was to take out as many as quick as possible to prevent them from overwhelming us.
But truly though... the dicebot is the main one to blame here. The whole bunch of us missed every single blow for two rounds now it seems.

edit: well one other option would have been to fire and shoot into the melee, killing P7 in the process, as someone else pointed out. But i hadn't considered that... Next time, I guess!

Player 12 (8th)
