Ninja Baseball Bat Man - Arcade Zone #25 - Retro Review
The Beat 'em up in the 90s in the arcade rooms were one of the most played genres, although in the gameplay they were very similar, their graphic aspect, music and history made them sympathize in a great way with the great gamers users, in this case we will bring from the trunk of oblivion a video game that despite not being considered "bad" did not have the glory of many who were quite quoted at the time, released in 1993, Ninja Baseball Bat Man.
Programmed by the developer company Irem Corporation, Ninja Baseball Bat Man is a great video game that allowed you to play cooperatively among several people, there were two versions of this Arcade, the 2 player and the 4, the latter being the rarest of see, despite not having such impressive graphics as the competition, it is very fun to see the type of animation that developers offer us, in addition to having enough hours of entertainment to be an Arcade machine (can take you to the first about 45 to 1 hour culminate it).
The 2D sprites contained in this videogame are very well drawn, it seems as if it were a new caricature, both our main characters and the enemies have totally unique designs that are very difficult to compare with another video game, as the name indicates. Most are modifications of Baseball objects.
Their levels are completely linear like most games of their style, they are quite colorful and they interact in a very good way with all the enemies, sometimes we will see how they come out of the background or simply wait for us in a position in a specific place of the same , also the funds of these are very nice which makes the video game in part striking for any viewer.
We have a total of 4 characters, each one has a completely different mobility, dexterity and strength, this makes the game have a variety with respect to the gameplay, since depending on the character that we choose will partially change the way we must face our enemies.
We have the ability to jump, hit and move with the stick, to get the different movements we must press a combination of the two main buttons plus the direction of the stick, this applies to all characters, which varies between special attacks It is the range and the effect it produces between enemies.
At first it may seem a bit "weird" since it is a video game that gets a little out of the ordinary with respect to its appearance, but once we play it we will realize that it is a really fun video game, full of many animations and quite original , this we can see in the case of bosses, are things that we will not imagine that they appear in a videogame of this style, such as a plane which gives us fists and kicks.
Additionally we can play from 1 to 4 players, making the gameplay spread in a great way, the fact of being able to pass this video game with 4 friends or colleagues to the task a little easier, however, the number of enemies increased considerably increasing a little bit its difficulty, which in itself did not have large scale in this aspect compared with others of the competition.
Unfortunately, Ninja Baseball Bat Man does not have a soundtrack that makes a difference before and after playing it, even though its songs are not bad, it does not have that catchy touch of other games, you may like it at the moment of the game but in passing the time is simply forgotten, but the special sounds is totally different, they give life and originality to the video game, making us understand that it is a game of street fights but in a world where Baseball predominates, listen to each hit we hit to the enemies is simply something fabulous.
Despite not being well known for the few sales he had in Arcades establishments, Ninja Baseball Bat Man takes a special place in hidden gems of the Arcades video games of the 90s, its excellent animations, a unique design and good gameplay make that this forgotten video game be underestimated with the passing of the years, despite having 25 years of being released to the market is still a very good option to play it currently, I personally recommend it widely and if you have a partner to play it with, it will pass min 1 Time for guaranteed entertainment.

Haha!! this looks really fun. Yeah it's strange but its weirdness makes it more charming. As I read the review it kinda reminds me of TMNT games but this looks better.
I like how they used "Bat Man" in the title... I mean everyone who likes Batman notices the name for a second and might get curios what this is about.
Now thinking if Retropie can work it.
