Building My New Gaming Computer
My name is Elvis and just graduated high school and i finally have the money to build a new gaming computer. Right now have the Gigabyte X58 Extreme and i have a Gtx 980 graphics card. Wondering if some of you advanced gamers could give me advice for my new build.
The reason i want to build a new PC is because the one I have now keep crashing when I play games like Rainbow six siege and Battlefield 1 I've watched many videos to see if it the in game software was the problem but now I'm just convinced that my PC is just outdated and cant run these new games.
This is what happens when I play some of my games.
My budget is limited so I'm trying to have the best for the money I have now.
I'm impressed you wanting to build your own computer. It tells you have a lot of creativity; your technical curiosity that will take you very far. Lots of luck and let us know how is it going along.
I would first try to do a backup and do a clean install of Windows and perform all the updates with the latest drivers. If that doesn't work, it may be a hardware issue. The X58 is pretty ancient so it may be time to start fresh with a new build. But keep the 980 though, that card is still good unless that is failing as well.
yea i did that twice reinstalling everything i think its the x58 too
I was thinking about just keeping the card
Gigabyte , for a gaming rig ? i would not go for that brand .
I am still happy with my asus Sabertooth 16gig AMD eight core R9 290 4gig
It is a lot cheaper as Intel and Nvidea but dos the same for a lot less.
Here in Europa a good deal home build gaming rig wil cost around 1000 Euro . succes with your new build .

I built my own gaming computer from scratch as well! sounds like a potential issue with your cooling... and also whats your PSU? if you can give a budget, I could definitely make a part list if that would help.... id also like a part list of what you have now, just out of curiosity. :)
