Driving up to Captain Cook park last week
we found this large loaded log of fungi and
shot it, with the camera.
Recently I seen @mountainwashere has a
weekly Nature Identification Thread
Plants, Animals, Rocks, Fungi.
Mostly the first three categories, with the
last being a case by case decision.
Big log is a cottonwood and the smaller log
is a birch. There is also dust from the dirt road.
The mosquitoes are out now!
Soon the rains will bring more fungi for Fridays!
Clicking the photos makes them bigger
Click again zooms them in

That's a frickin fungi forest on that cottonwood tree, the little birch is getting covered by them also.
Certainly a loaded log! lol
Will have to go check it out again and some
of those other ones along the way :-)
Mushrooms are taking over!
And the do seem very comfortable there :))
Happy Fungi... Saturday? :D
They sure are! lol
In a few months they will totally
take over many areas up here!
Tho these ones hang out year round, there
will be many other fungi that come and go
over the summer and fall.
🍄 Fungiurday, Mushroomurday :-)
Just what you need...more rain for more fungi. LOL! Man oh man, that log is humongous! Be careful of those dreaded mosquitoes @shasta! : )
Actually no rain now for perhaps a week or
more, high fire danger. Good for less skeeters
tho, no puddles lol
I did get a byte on the wrist taking a picture of
these logrooms!
Right now there is so many dandies outside
I'm wore out from clicking haha
