WHO WANTS THE BOX NEXT?
When Rob at Sapper Gardener sent me the same box back that I had sent to him, it gave me an idea...
Why not keep shipping this box around to different gardeners and homesteaders? It could not only increase interactions and bless some other people with some great "mail calls," but it could almost become a sort of travelling seed bank as well.
If anyone if interested in receiving this box next, just leave a comment on my YouTube video expressing your interest. Also, please include your growing zone and what types of things you like to grow. I've got plenty of extra seeds, plus I can also send dragonfruit cuttings, fig cuttings, and Jerusalem artichoke tubers if you are interested.
I'll wait about a week and then pick a winner, so comment soon if you want in.

What a wonderful idea, too bad you can't ship those sorts of things to us in Canada, Customs won't allow cuttings as far as I know.
Good luck to all those that can participate though, its a great way to try new things in your garden/on your homestead. :D
God bless you and your wonderful family. :D Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
I think this rule applies to many countries.
I have to guess outside of USA, it is mostly an issue.
I think you're probably right, fear of different insects or other things going from one country to another and wrecking the new countries ecosystems is a huge factor in that I'm sure, hopefully there are lots of people within the USA that will participate in this exchange though, it seems like a wonderful way to try new things in your garden/on your homestead. :D
God bless you. :D Have an awesome day! :D
Thanks. Yes, agree. You have a good one too.
I wish! If steem hits $100, then we can buy a house in our city and THEN we can grow stuff we feel invested in.
Right now, we grow what we can in the little bit of dirt out front of the apartment, but it gets uprooted by sillies regularly.
Well, also we grow a few things in pots inside, but our space is limited.

Alright, we'll wait for that STEEM to hit $100 then!
Any day now.

Not sure i can get any seeds shipped to UK... or could i :)
What a great idea!
A traveling seed bank.
I wonder how long it will keep going. :)
not sure, we'll see!
Our boarder control would freak out. An apple in your bag at the airport and a beagle sits next to you as security flanks around. Everyone else avoids eye contact as your bag is emptied, and you are shamed for the evil fruit that you forgot was at the bottom of your backpack. And that is just domestic / state boarders.
I love this idea.
I was actually hoping to get you some native "bush tucker" Australian seeds sent for Christmas, but it passed me by with our move I'm afraid, and I also confess, Australians generally know very little about our edible plants.
I am planning to start learning. I will continue to follow you and also my steemsiration @weirdheadaches.
If you haven't met, then consider this an introduction...
@weirdheadaches is one of your countrymen, and he is a passionate backyard gardener, fridayfoody, spiritual quester, and like yourself has played an integral role in keeping my spirits buoyant.

So to avoid being a "border bandit" (that is the phrase they employed when I was a kid re. Fruit) I nominate @weirdheadaches as worthy recipient of a papa p parcel.
He is also among the growing number of people I have said I was going to snail mail to, then didn't manage, you are in the rare group of people papa whom actually received a package EVER.
PS. Check this out!
We planted a lemon tree to go with the orange, and have full rain water tanks for our garden, and a spot of flooding, but I'm focusing on the positives...
I am on the way to being a homesteader (even if is @azurejasper doing all the work). We have only been in our new place one week! @littleblue still won't walk barefoot on the grass, but we will get there. Baby steps all round.
Gardening question.
The plant growing around the tree like a weed, do you think it is Marigold? It looks like the marigold leaf, it has sprung up in the 100s with the Christmas heat, but is yet to produce a flower.
#homesteading - that was my first homesteading tag. I'm excited to have been able to utilise it here, at the source of my homesteading inspiration.
#blogon
What I can tell from the photo, it does look similar to a marigold, but I'd be wary. If that many are coming up, might be some sort of local weed instead. Thanks the comment, and I've ran into @weirdheadaches a bit. Yeah, those borders can get tricky for sure!
ooooh, J-chokes! Those have been on my radar for several years now but seem to elude me whenever I go searching for them. What can I put into the box??? Hybrid silver-sugar maple seedlings, several heirloom corn varieties, mullein, got some oddly crossed pumpkins and squash.... and soooo much other stuff to choose from too. We're up here in minisnowta, zone 3.
