Fruits and Veggies Monday - Flavour-Burst Rainbow Smoothie
Following a weekend of water and power calamities, a sunshiny #FruitsAndVeggiesMonday is just what I need to calm the frayed nerves as I get to play in the kitchen :)
In my Sandwich Entry for #SteemitSandwichContest, I shared our alarming experience of loadshedding, geyser burst and the thundering roar of Victoria Falls right here in our home when a water pipe burst, all in one long weekend! They say things come in threes, so I hope that's it for now, no more shocks for this old gal!

Autumn is real slow in making its appearance this year, so what better to have with breakfast than a delicious and healthy colourful smoothie bursting with flavours.
I was gifted with this stunning hand painted wooden fruit bowl some years ago, and would like to show off its beauty to all my fruits and veggies friends.
So with hubby on Keto and me still reluctant to take the leap, I made two smoothies:
A Keto friendly green smoothie with Kiwi, Cucumber and Avocado Smoothie with unsweetened Almond Milk.
Thick and luscious green Keto friendly smoothie
Mine was a pink Raspberry & Mango Smoothie - if I had not added the luscious sweet Mangoes to the frozen Raspberry pulp and unsweetened Almond Milk, hubby could have enjoyed this as well, but I could not let that ripe Mango go to waste now could I?
Mango was quite messy but oh so sweet!
No sweetening added to the green nor the pink smoothie; both were thick, creamy and delicious!
The colourful little bottles are Christmas gifts from our talented gardener Bongikosi, a young man with green fingers. It's made with telephone wire, real works of art, and really special as it comes straight from his heart!

Oh my, I could certainly use one of these smoothies @lizelle. So lovely, I love mangoes and raspberries. I hope everything has settled a bit for you. This beautiful Monday will be the start of a beautiful week for you and the hubby :) I love those sweet bottles, made with love I would say.
Oh yes those little bottles really are gifts from the heart! Tranquility reigns again, just one guest here this week and no power and water issues ;)
Next week's going to get hectic, will have 7 students here, breakfast and dinners for all! But I'm going to order meals for some nights from a local lady who makes divine homecooked dinners, just to take the pressure off ;)

I am so sorry about the disruptions in your home Dear Lizelle! I had no idea, but I am glad you okay and everything is calming down. You really did a marvelous job with the smoothie. what a piece of art. And you have a matching bottles, how unique! No to forget the beautiful fruit bowl; it is truly a something I would love to bring as a souvenir if I ever visit South Africa 🦁🐘🐯
We have some really talented local artists here! It was like everything that could go wrong did just that! Thank goodness it's all over and calm and tranquility has been restored at home :)

Glad that crazy week is behind you! Makes me exhausted just thinking about it. This looks like a delicious smoothie concoction, though! Love the kiwi mixture, but that mango makes my tongue tingle just thinking about how ripe and sweet it must be. I might have to go have a piece of fruit myself just thinking about it...
It really was like all the bad forces were sent our way, and it was exhausting! Thank goodness tranquility has returned :):)
