We want more success, more money, more friends, more love. All wishes to get closer to the highest of all life, goals, happiness. Everyone wants it, but nobody can bind it permanently.

A fulfilling life is not characterized solely by an accumulation of positive feelings and experiences. To indulge in the pleasures of life in the long run becomes an increasingly nasty affair and equals hedonistic Sisyphean work. Just mastering difficult tasks strengthens our self-esteem. When we go to the limits of our abilities, or even beyond, to master a task or solve a problem, we get the most intense feelings of happiness and they work for a long time.

Part of a fulfilled life are the dark sides of existence. People who have experienced and overcome crises, strokes of fate and suffering find their lives more satisfying.

The art of happiness consists of finding and enjoying the beautiful aspects of everyday life on the one hand and the challenges and tasks on the other and to accept crises of life as an invitation to personal development.
