5 Minute Freewrite: Monday - Prompt: Beacon
Beacon of Hope
Times have flown faster than we want. My dreams have been put on hold, so that time was spend in helping fulfill yours. Who even knew that time would come, where a new beginning lay ahead. Many times things had gotten rough, but honestly I would do some of it over again, as long as it was with you. The worries are just beginning, as only God knows what is in store. As I watched you turn into a man, my eyes secretly glisten, with the tears of joy. You are my son, you are my life. In you, I see new things ahead. You are my beacon of hope, for a newer, better beginning, in the next chapter of your life. I pray I am there to watch you succeed in life, and start your own adventures.
Aw, how beautiful. I have a lump in my throat. It is so hard for us to let go of our kids so they can lead a life of their own. The unknown can be scary and we want the best for them, and no matter how old they are, they will always be our babies. Welcome back @pixiehunter! We missed you! : )
Thank you. Almost let him read it after I wrote it but is best I wait a bit so I keep myself in check. He is joining the Forces soon. He is my one and only, so it's tough.

This freewrite wasn't written with alphabets, but with pure LOVE...... Wow, a mother's love is always sweet to her son and memories of her son is always sweet to his mom!

Aww! You've captured how I feel about my son (soon to turn 29). On days when I feel I've accomplished nothing, I remember that I made a contribution to the gene pool, and our son is bright light in the darkest days of our troubled times. He's such a Buddha.
