Thoughts are powerful, been inclined to the right school of thought is priceless too. As Lucy couldn't stop thinking of so many things, the fact that if this simple mistake has went down south so badly as costing Bonny's life. She will surely be in police net by now. Her mom who was acting nonchallant would have been the latest most sorrowful woman in the world, coupled with possible newspapers report, and those media house knows how best to grab the attention of its populace by bringing in catchy headlines, at the detriment of the original story. How could she have done this evil and acted as if it's nothing. The water starts to make some funny sound to show it going to bubble soon. Lucy remembered that the food she wants to prepare isn't even his favorite. His favourite was hamburger, though they use to laugh at him where he says that, been that it's a white man's food. Bonny has come to love it since he started going out with his dad.

Lucy made ready the bowl to prepare the cassava flakes and mistakenly managed to pour some hot water on herself before jostling back to life. Very hurt, she doesn't seem to notice it. The truth is, she is tired already of been lonely and it scares her. She doesn't want to live alone despite been provided a house. She wants to live with her sister, but her trouble always got in the way.

"If Akin has not jilted me, I wouldn't have become this, curse be upon you wherever you are Akin" the tears were flowing uncontrollably this time. She regretted ever meeting Akin, Akin, her first love, everyone knew them together, they were the Romeo and Juliet of the street, but one thing was lacking, Lucy was adamantly illiterates, and her cursive tongues were still at work everywhere she goes. On a fateful day sh had a fight with Akin's mother and she went berserk on her to the point of tearing the clothes the old woman puts on. The so called fiancee came and after hearing all what was done gave the verdict and sent her packing. Lucy obstinately decline to leave, she knew all what Akin was and has been was courtsey of her so he can't just sent her packing just like that. Akin wouldn't have his mother insulted that far, he called for a repayment, if possible of all what Lucy had done for her, the world here hasn't yet been open to a woman demanding emotional damages and winning the case. Lucy would have won the case from every angle. The female folks were still at the rung part of the marital ladder. So, she forfeited everything, and angrily left.

Leaving Akin will later be the begining of great life long problem, and an unraveling of so many hidden things that had happened in the past, it will take time before we all come to realise that this two separated dudes have done more damage to themselves than good. With consent, the two lover birds have made countless decisions to abort. Ignorant of the consequences, Lucy has agreed to it. Now left with nothing. Her first experience of been jilted.

Lucy journeyed far because of the shame and went to the northern part of the country to start trading. Periodically, it's was from one cheating to the other and been taken for granted, started from washing plates in the kitchen to pounding yams for caterers to selling airtime recharge card for phones. It was there she met various guys promising love and nothing but love, the fault line in women is there emotion and she sure became weak with that. Those guys didn't rob her in a small way, they always made sure they took everything from her. Returning her to square one. Dejected at all time, the stubborn arrogance and cursive tongue begins to go devilish in heart and actions. Age was also growing so fast it was glaring she wouldn't be able to bear for herself a child and been ignorant of how to process one with so many demands before putting up a child for adoption, it's better to stay off than become frustrated along the line.
