Katia started her herb garden with just a few pots of oregano, so she could add the fresh herbs to her homemade tomato sauce. She then discovered she could also use basil and fresh chives. Before long she was growing some mint leaves for her tea. She took her fresh herbs and added them to all her cooking dishes and was hooked by the fragrant smells of her little plants.

Katia filled her front and back porch up with pots of herbs and before long she began looking for more spots to fill with new herbs. She spent hours each afternoon spraying her plants for bugs and watering them. She felt like they were part of her world now, and she found out they could cure common illnesses.

This lead to the bee boxes. The man down the street suggested her mint and chamomile tea would taste much better with a bit of his honeys. He was a beekeeper by trade, and soon after they were trading herbs for honey. After a few months of trading, she started her own beekeeping hobby, and collected the honey from the bees.

Years later the neighbors started requesting her herbs in tea bags, so she found some teabag material, and started drying herbs and making different teas. Now you can find her teabags in twenty four of the fifty states.
