Seems like only yesterday but it was over one year ago today that he vanished without a trace. Selma waited by the phone hoping he would call her, but the days turned into months and now a full year. For the first few months she would jump when the phone rang, she checked her e-mail every day, and was constantly looking for any sign of him.

But this moment she knew if he not shown his face around here in a year, he most likely never would again. The most disturbing part was that he didn’t say good-bye. He just left one morning and never returned. She had even went to the police department to ask if he’s been arrested.

She looked in every hospital thinking he may have amnesia and couldn’t remember his way home. Anything not to think she was the reason he left. She did all she could to please him, but it wasn’t enough. Today she stopped hoping.

She’d spent one year of her time thinking about him night and day and it had to stop. The definition of insanity was to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. He wasn’t coming back. He never had any intention. She had to live with the fact that part of her life was now over.

She just wondered what she was going to do now. What would the next year bring?
