TODAY'S PROMPT: It was Saturday morning...

First off, I would like to send my CONGRATULATIONS to @mariannewest! This 5-minute freewrite basically is a good excuse for me to use my precious five minutes on something good and also a very good excuse for me to exercise my brain. I am also extending my congratulations to everyone else who enjoyed, is enjoying and will be enjoying doing this challenge.

This 100th should be exciting. So I invited my sister @juwel, who have been willing to spare 10 minutes of her time to do it with me. We had fun doing it; we didn't know the story would turn out the way it did. Yay!

By the way, a very big THANKS to @brisby and @snook for sharing their freewrite. Without that, doing this particular challenge with my sister wouldn't be possible.

Here is our entry:

How fast time flies. She thought she just arrived here, but she just heard her mobile phone’s alarm reminding her of her flight back home. Argh, she cannot believe the week is done.
She gazed around the hotel room, finding for a calendar. Nothing. She searched for a clock, but neither had she found one. She closed her eyes again, still sleepy.
Sleepy that she is, she mustered all the strength that she has to get and turn off that snooze that woke her up. She checked the time. It reads five o’clock.
It was Saturday morning. There is no denying it, no way to turn back the time. She has no choice but to get up. The time is now. She took a shower and looked at her reflection in the mirror.
There was not a single day that she had not looked in the mirror. At times, she makes different funny faces and basically just have fun doing it. Every day, as she goes to work, she preens herself in front of the mirror not wanting to face the world with an ugly face.
And being at twenty, she spends ample artful moments scrutinizing her looks knowing that the most obvious things are the hardest to see. Like everyone else, she likes to look good. Not surprisingly, a lot of boys go gaga over her.
But today, she looked in the mirror rather differently. She looked at her reflection a little bit longer, much longer than she used to. As she took a glance at herself, a great shadow of fear wrapped her being. It was something she had never felt before.
It was weird. But maybe, it was all because of her distressed soul. She felt alone. Her parents were on the verge of separation because of mundane reasons. Awkward moments were almost always felt since the issue was considered. Like a deafening silence echoes in the air whenever they dine in together.
Along with that, her longtime boyfriend has dumped her just because of the sole reason that he just felt that they were no longer meant for each other. She might have felt better if they were quarreling all along. But what happened was truly unfair.
His reason was absurd. He must have said a practically honest and rational explanation why he is ending their 5-year relationship. Then she might have felt better.
She simply can't do anything but to appease herself that maybe she was just at the bottom of the wheel. And someday, that wheel would turn and things would be better. So much better than what she is feeling... going through.
Ironic as it may seem, those not-so-good things that happened, later on, gave her the will to go on... the strength and hope which she may not have had otherwise. Just then, had she come to realize that there was this Divine personage that never falters to serve as her light.
There she was seeing her faithful reflection in this Saturday morning telling that she should just hang on. Well, life may seem dull and blurred but take time to take a shower and reflect on where your life is heading to. You might see things clearer and may find that life is beautiful after all.
As she looks at the mirror, she not only try to scrutinize and catch a glance at her outer self but also, at times, she takes time to ponder on where her life has been and is bound to go.
Right now, she didn't have to wait for anyone to fix her bed. She did it herself, hoping her life would be fixed somehow as well.
It was Saturday morning, and all the drama is left behind. All dressed up, she heads to the airport, ready to face the problems she left behind. As she gave her boarding pass, she was greeted by a smile., telling her that she is okay. She will be okay.

SHOUTOUT TO @omra-sky for delivering this landmark challenge. Big thanks!

Very interesting story.

It's particularly interesting how it almost seemed like poetry in the begining.

I could never do the 5-minute free write. At least I don't think that I would do too well at it. This is more having to do with the timed nature, rather than the writing.

Thanks. What is interesting about this freewrite is how spontaneous it gets. I happened to have watched something and I guess that maybe influenced our brain to have worked the way it did. Lol.

glad you got your sister to write with you!! So fun!!

Yeah, I am glad too. I thought the idea of "WeWrite" is so much fun.

Sneaky Ninja Attack! You have been defended with a 3.53% vote... I was summoned by @yadah04! I have done their bidding and now I will vanish...Whoosh

This was a great free right. I understand the frustration of somebody suddenly just walking out of your life that you cared for. It's hard at the time to understand why it happens, but you're always better off better now than later. I love the positivity of how it ends!

Thank you @wandrnrose. We loved the way how it ended as well. If only the 10 minutes wasn’t up, there are still more to say but we had to cut it short when the timer was about to end. Lol. Still. We were contented on the way how it ended. Not as we expected, actually.
