Local derby

It was local derby day at the hosh koch bgosh high school stadium. All the derbies came out. The roller derby, the horsey derby, the derby derby, the gallon derby, and the plastics derby. One representative from each derby, and then a fight to the death. The death of one's eyes, only. The winner was the one with at least one eye left. Everyone else in hosh kosh bgosh came out and filled the stands and sprayed water on the derby reps with rock 'em bop 'em soak 'ems. When the weren't soaking the reps they were rocking and bopping each other. Some people in the stands lost eyes, too, but that was considered poor form and those ones were killed on their way out. Hosh kosh bgosh was proud of its traditions. One time, this time, the derby day fell on the final day of school, so it was also the graduation ceremony, and the speaker of the class was the derby rep, too! So that was exciting for everyone, especially the gummy hummy little ones, the toddlers that could walk and talk but didn't have teeth, so mostly sounded like humming. They were accompanied by old folks, old rocks, old clocks.
