5 minute freewrite: Sunday prompt: mason jar

There is always a mason jar on her desk. Sometimes it contains flowers, but usually it just has pencils and pens sticking out of it. Once i saw it full of M&Ms. I think she rinses it out and uses it to drink out of sometimes. She drinks lots of water, and always has a couple of straws in with the pencils, come to think of it. I wonder if it's the only jar she owns. I suppose she really only needs one, but wouldn't it be easier to have one for the candy, one for the pencils, and one to drink from? Oh, maybe there really isn't enough room on her desk for three mason jars. I could buy her another one for Valentine's Day, and fill it with those cheesy little conversation hearts. I could stick a rose in with the candies. Maybe an artificial rose, so it doesn't wilt. I could tie a big red ribbon around it, and make a big bow, and add a little card saying "From your secret admirer." I couldn't possibly let her know who it's really from, because she is the company president, and I am just Jim, the lowly janitor. She is so nice, and so pretty, and so very very out of my reach. I guess I'll just eat the conversation hearts myself, and save the mason jar for drinking beer.
