Freewrite #99

“This was the most romantic moment of her life” she thought to herself as she held his hand.

Her very first boyfriend had driven her in his very own car to their very first sunset. She thought about the best way to document this great step in her life.

Should she write about it in her private journal? Share it with her friends over coffee? Hanging out with her friends for coffee was on her things to do list. She wondered when she would learn to like coffee.

He squeezed her hand gently and she was momentarily reminded that she was living the most romantic moment of her life. She was watching the sunset! With her car-driving boyfriend!

This was so romantic. She reminded herself as she squinted towards the sunset. Was it supposed to hurt? Maybe she wasn’t doing it right? Uh! Did she need sunblock?

She wondered if this was his first sunset too. She hated that she wasn’t his first girlfriend. She though about how much prettier his ex’s hair was as he snuggled her closer.

This is my entry for yesterday’s free writing challenge. I wasn’t going to post but this annoying little girlfriend kept whispering in my ear that she wanted her story told. I think she’ll be back as she doesn’t like how shallow I made her. Perhaps she should learn to give the author a rest! 😂😂💃🏽💃🏽
