Day 85, Prompt: Corn - 5 Minute Freewrite Challange
I can hear my heart wanting to run away and escape my chest. It's never sounded so loud or so frightened before. I sit, hoping to not be heard, or to be seen.

These are his fields, I know they are. I haven't used my legs in so long, I'm surprised I was able to run as far and as fast as I did. Once I reached the corn fields the only was through. I kept running until my legs gave away and now I play a waiting game. I know he's close behind me and will be here soon. I can't go back to that place.

Then I hear the sound of a shotgun...
