The Taste of Chicken: 5-Minute Freewrite Challenge
Good Monday morning Steemians all over the world, from the Philippines! It's Monday again, and there are lots of things to do again today. I have been busy for the last two days, and I haven't submitted any entry yesterday. This 5-Minute Freewrite Challenge was organized by @mariannewest. The prompt for today is "the taste of the chicken".
I have been craving for you for a long time. I just want to have a taste of the chicken. But it depends on the dish. I prefer fried chicken than any other dish, followed by chicken adobo.
But it is funny everytime I crave for fried chicken. We rarely actually prepare our own fried chicken. There was a time when I want to treat myself with fried chicken from Jollibee because they don't taste like any other fried chicken in other outlets.
I headed to Jollibee, and purchased two pieces of chicken. However, my craving was gone. I havent got to enjoy it because the chicken itself wasn't cooked well. The gravy even tastes different on how it used to. It wasn't what it tastes like previously. I have no choice but to take the other piece home, and just give it to another person.
Yeah, there are times when you are about to fulfil your craving, but what you expected for it to be enjoyable did not turn it to be. Oh well, I still love the taste of the chicken, but it depends on how it is being cooked. Right now, I would be eating fried chicken from Shakey's for our lunch. Hehe.

Where I'm from there is one thing that the women know how to cook very very good, well there are a lot of things, but one thing they do really well is fried chicken. 😎
