Smell from within -5minutefreewrite
I'm gonna dooooo my 5 minute write
The smell of my soul is pretty musty. Like a graveyard you snuck into as a teen. Like a dance on Halloween.
It might be old, but... no... I desperately hope it isn't musty. Olden times, I coulda enjoyed musty, but then I stayed in a hostel that was musty and I got really sick, like in my lungs sick. I had an awful time in Paris that one time, but lately I've had better times.
It's not Paris's fault, really. I was on a ferry to France when I was a teen. I was girl crazy, and I followed these French girls around, and they seemed entirely ok with that. It was nice being special by virtue of my nationality. Ah, teenagerhood.
I think I wrote their names in whatever my journal was at the time, but I've forgotten them. I feel like theyre still in my memory somewhere, but not easily accessible. I also got the name of my seat neighbor on the flight. She was Irish from northern Ireland.
Stina thinks I should know our child is 39 weeks today. She thinks that information is important enough to interrupt my freewrite for! Blasphemer. Now I'm thinking of James Herriot, the show I watched with my folks when we rented the vhs from the library. I think I have put Europe on a pedestal. I even worked in Germany for a year, and in retrospect -

It's true that, one freewrite after the other, time passes fast but...

It will stay in the recesses of my mind, but inform my subconscious when I'm freewriting, I'm sure... Oh It was Rochelle, I think? Is that a french name. It's so funny how these things pop in. I remember not knowing how to spell it.
I was more into Spanish girls..not much experience with French ones. Times of sangria, lonely trips and guitar for me..

Lol that is very funny. You should probably just stick with the 39 weeks part. How fast times goes, by the time you are used to saying 13, it will become 39. Time flies super fast with little ones. Hoping you don't run into anymore musty moments, lol.
Me, too. We're sleep training now, so extra little sleep, which means my immune system will be more open to contagion.
Yuck. Hope the training works out. I sure don't miss any of that stage, lol.

That was a fun free mind tangent rant. Didn't see that coming, something about the smell of Europe... I was in Spain once. I didn't know how to get around. But it felt good and right, until I met that guy on the street one dark night. Glad I didn't end up in jail. Though, I would have learned how to speak Spanish then.
Which guy? I think I might have been him. Sitting on a couch in an alley thinking how full of spent possibility existential crisis are.
