5-minute Freewrite: A switch into a ballpit
When I was a child, I was eager to quickly grow up to be an adult just like my parents. They could go to work and they had money to use, whereas me as a child had to ask them for money every single day. I hoped there was a switch that could turn me into an adult promptly.
The day finally had come. I am an adult now. Precisely a mother. A wife. Life is full of responsibilities. And no doubt with great responsibilities there is great burden. I often hear the laughter of my children. Practically they laugh about anything. The most amusing is when I scolded them, they laugh. It is either something wrong with them or something wrong with my face. Most probably the latter is true.
I remembered once after the bubbly laughter with exclamation "Mummy's face is funny!", I went to check out how I look. Seriously I did look like a funny sulking papaya. I wondered, "Where are all my laughters?". Shouldn't I be laughing more since now I have all the power as an adult?
Ironically, I wish I have a switch now to turn me into a child again whenever I am stressed, where I can just freely without any responsibilities just jump into a huge ball pit and enjoy my life. Such as this little son of mine...
Own's photo. Enjoying his life in a pool of blue, yellow and white balls.

Awesome #freewrite! I used to smile and laugh when I got in trouble as a kid. I did this because when I get nervous I tend to laugh! Needless to say my parents were never happy when I started laughing whenever they scolded me.
I decided to switch it up for today's #freewrite. Check it out and let me know what you think =)
um... please don't mind me, I am just testing this out. I am not spamming, really. I'll be on my way now. oh yes... I just upvoted you by the way. Stephard Tester, superoo7/superoo7-dev

Nice thing to do in 5 minutes.
Haha, mummy's face is funny ;-)
Thanks for dropping by @weddingdresses. This 5-minute freewrite is not as easy as I thought it is. 😛
Most things worthwhile aren't.
You are so correct about this ☺
Your story have taken me back to the memories of my childhood stage. I had always
wanted to grow up early to the adult stage when i was a child. Finally the time came
and realized that being an adult is not an easy task as i had thought about when i was a kid because there are a lot of responsibilities i need to take care of.
Sharing yours with us is worth it. @iamjadeline
Such a pretty story about you, your family, and your kids. I think we all wish we could laugh and smile like a child. The older we get, the harder it gets. Recapturing that way of looking at life in such an innocent and curious way... sigh
Thanks for sharing :)
lol !! I'm just like your kid , I would burst into laughter and can't control myself in when someone is serious .
Your story ended just nice! I wish I have the same switch too 😂 how nice if we can turn back time. While hoping for this miracle, we shall enjoy our adult moments like coffee Hahaha hugs to you, miss you!
Haven't finished but time is up. Haha. Yes we shall enjoy our coffee while telling the young ones "this is only for adults.". lol
Welcome to freewrite! I love your writing!
I loved reading that @iamjadeline It really struck a chord with me, as a Dad of 2 little crazies :o), I can appreciate it all the more.. I would love to have a switch and be a kid again for even a day!! It is like I said in a recent freewrite myself, we all want to be something we are not, even kids as your story points out so well...
