Freewrite Prompt: Sustainable

"Whatever it is, we got to think of it FAST! " the agents were panicking.

Apocalypse was approaching faster than they thought. They had tried many ways to conserve and preserve, yet they now need an evacuation plan.

"No, we cannot abandon her, after all that she has done and offered us. Without her, there won't be us," Agent Smith said. He was still trying to do the last stand, even if he will be left as the only man standing.

"Agent Smith, we can create a new 'her' in another place. We can condition the weather, atmosphere and even environment to be the same. We are in year 2055, for goodness sake. With our current technologies, all these can be done," the scientists tried to convince Agent Smith.

"No, my team and I are staying back. We will stay till the end with her, and still do what we can to protect and clean, " Agent Smith was adamant.

"Very well, then you need to sign this agreement that you are staying behind on freewill. I don't think there's anything more to do, Agent Smith. We have tried our best, " General Morimoto said.

"We haven't, because not all have participated and most of you have given up hope on her. The thing is how sure are you that the new place you are creating will be sustainable when our attitudes are 'dispose when it no longer benefits'? With the same posture, anywhere will be a second 'earth'!" Agent Smith confronted the crowd and he made sure he said it loud and clear. "Space itself also has its natural course and path it will be taking. How sure are you that this new place you are inhabiting will be eternal and lasting?"

You can see guilt on all the faces and what took place after was silence.
