Weekend Freewrite: "It was a Saturday Morning."
Lol, well, here's another "bright & sunny" winner from the history that is my life--stay tuned for more!! ;)
"It Was A Saturday Morning"
It was a Saturday morning. The first Saturday since us kids came home from school to find out mother was "missing;" (come to find, she had just "moved out").
Walking into my living room that Saturday was quite strange: Dad was playing "Rock Music."
He danced and writhed about the living room, then into the family & dining room, as me and my sister looked on in disbelief: What has gotten into Dad??
Stone Temple Pilots' "Unglued" chugged from the speaker system: "Moderation, is masturbation... what is what, and what makes you feel good...?"
(I was ten. It would still be a few more years until I had even the slightest idea what Mr. Weiland was on about.)
"You kids want some eggs," Dad asked--stopping just long enough to see the bleary stains of his eyes.
Crying.
Also something new on Dad we were not used to seeing.
We didn't have any idea "why" Mom had left: something about how "she just couldn't take it anymore."
And it didn't appear as though Dad was having too good a time of it either.
There it is! Five minutes in heaven ;) . Nothin too exciting... kind of a shit ending, but hey. Thanks for reading; thanks @mariannewest for doing this, and you can see her original post here: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/weekend-freewrite-03-17-2018-single-prompt-option.

Such a sad thing to happen to a family. I feel for the father trying to keep it together for his children.
Eww... Sock-flavored sandwiches and a side of parfum du toilette lol. I think I'll stick w my coffee, but thanks for the message :)
