Isn’t it strange how almost immediately time away from your life partner seems to strengthen the longing for each other’s companionship. Even though Mel and I live in the same house and our working schedules make it so we don’t see each other as often as we would like having a little time off from each other is still beneficial.
My fiancé left yesterday with her father heading up to go watch her nephews graduation ceremony. Mel took a week off work so that she could hang out with the family plus the timing was almost perfect as she needs to unwind from work a bit with stresses that are ongoing there.
We do our daily check in.... hi I love you... I did this and that... how’s everyone there.... Jerry was looking for your this morning... you get the gist but the one thing that stood out to me was Mel saying she already misses us!
Not language used in our usual conversation and I recognize how nice it is to hear and reciprocate!

I am glad she is having a beautiful start to her first day away, she sent me that image of her morning friend(the chicken) just outside her door. She almost has her own suite staying downstairs at her brothers house, private outdoor access and her own TV & Couch just missing a bathroom 😅
They have a gorgeous property, I can’t wait for her to send me more pictures of all their pets ❤️
Maybe when all said and done she will show me the way home on her way through BC with her photography 🤞

I work from home, doing my projects, but Frank works at an office. Every moment that he is not at home, I miss him. We always miss each other. When we have the kids, we cuddle lots but get less intimate moments, it's a different dynamic. I tend to have a nightly schedule too, so we cuddle in bed but he goes to bed way before I do and I wake up way after him. When we have time together, like vacation, we always appreciate every moment. I think a few hours apart allow us yo be in our own bubbles which we need for meditative states. We all need some alone time a bit every day. And when an argument arises, just to cool off. I get what you mean. When we spend a long time together though, that strengthens the bond too, in a different way, and being always together does not mean we don't have our own bubbles to do our own things. Establishing and respecting boundaries helps us as individuals, which also help us in all our relationships. Right now we are due for vacation where Frank is home every day. It will be good. We've been so busy. But the time apart teaches us to jot take for granted the time when we can be glued at the hip.
I would however not be able to spend prolonged time apart from Frank, days or weeks. We did that once, it was just 2 days, one night. Never again 🤣 Maybe we happen to be more emotionally dependent people, but we miss each other the minute we are not together. But we understand the necessity too in certain circumstances.
I hope she enjoys her stay with her family.
