The Great House Of India - A freewrite

Before you get to our door there's no way you won't pass through the gate made of thatch. Our house is a brick house that sits on a mountain in the northern part of India. It is a very strong house which was built 35 years ago and has a total number of 6 families that lived there before. Due to the age and strength of the building, my dad decided to name it 'The Great House Of India'. We have lived there for the past 10 years and that makes us the only family that has ever stayed that long. My family is a bizarre one and is made up of 2 boy, 3 girls, mom and dad. I happen to be the second born of the family as I have an older sister who is 3 years older than me. One interesting aspect of living on the mountain is the view; we enjoy the view of lands from the mountain and we really watch them from afar. One sad aspect of living on the mountain is that we don't go to school; there's no living soul that lives within that area, it's just us. All the other families that lived there left running out of the house, we can't understand why but still lodged in because we had no money and no option. The only risk we know about living up there is the 'too-cold' temperature, it makes us feel frozen. Since there's no school around, nobody around, no work around, we decided to swap schooling for hunting. Everyday, we go down into the forest and search for the beasts of the earth because we had to eat something. I once killed a beer but it's been over 3 years since it happened. However, I'll still tell you how it happened; 'Dad wasn't feeling fine on that day; he had eaten a poisonous fruit without taking out the poison. Therefore, it was on the shoulders of I and my younger brother to go into the forest and get food for the family. My younger brother who is 2 years younger than me is a lefty and prefers a gun to any other type of weapon. Meanwhile, I'm nothing more than an archer who misses the bulls eye a lot. We went down into the forest in search of an animal like a deer; we weren't fit for anything wilder......

As I understand you learned how to read and write... once upon a time there was no school and we all learned from elderly people or reached our self.
It is a good life with less stress and more life experiences and practical lessons as any school can ever teach.
