5 Minute Freewrite - Third Color of Finland

Here I'm writing filtered with a national sentiment as it's Finland's 100th Independeny Day and Anniversary.

On the same line I have a contest going on with a theme of Finland. You should definitely check it out because

Prompt of the Day: describe green

I would describe green as the third color of Finland in addition with the white and blue in the Finnish flag which represent the thousands of lakes and the untouched nature, winter view and the top of the fells in the north.

Green is the dominant color in summer with over 75% of forests covering the surface area of Finland. One can climb on top of a hill and see, even in a city, the forest going as far as the eye can see in to the horizon.

It probably isn't the official color for it always fades away before the winter covering and freezing the land and the trees with its soft cover of snow, which strangely feels warmer than an autumn cold with naked earth, like a womb around it.
