5-minute Freewrite: Prompt- Milk
She woke up to a crying baby. It was already mid morning and she was groggy from last night's all around the clock latching. She looked into the mirror and adjusted her shirt. Her name was Sasha, but she definitely wasn't flipping hair like Beyonce's alter ego.
Let out a deep sigh.
Need. Coffee.
Walked out the room with a koala on one breast and another little lion sprinting past her, ready to conquer the living room.
The little lion asked for her milk. And off she went to the kitchen, she could almost pour out the hot water with her eyes closed.
"Mama, I'm done! Mama, see... I spilled the milk on the sofa!" As she was about to check it out the little koala was screaming for attention. Again.
It was a typical day for her, except that she had almost forgotten to take a selfie of herself because she had signed up for the 200 Day Party freewrite contest.
She took the milk bottle and held it to her face, played around with the angle and finally after a few tries, snapped a photo of her awkward smile. With a milk bottle. That was left unattended and unwashed since a couple of hours ago.
Now she was suddenly reminded of the spilt milk and was about to check it out when she saw all the sofa cushion on the floor. The little lion made a train trail across the living room.
Now which side of the cushion was it again?
Sigh. No point crying over spilled milk.
