"STEM will make a huge difference," Tonya Withers said. Her protests were heard across the Teacher's Lounge and Willy Harris took the bait.

"Tonya, you're not back on that dead horse again are you?" Harris stood, coffee in hand, and moved toward the large center table. Other teachers looked up to see where this was headed.

"Oh, Harris. You know better than most that STEM education will open doors to countless children. Young girls will have a fighting chance in the emerging global..."

"Stop it Tonya. That's enough male bashing!" Harris set his coffee cup down. His eyes burned a hole through her short cropped pixie styled hair. "Besides, STEAM is better overall for all genders and socio-economic levels. Our school should be reinvesting in the Arts. Humanities. Music!" He flourished a hand in the air.

Jamison Bechtold looked over his spectacles at the growing storm in the center of the room.
