VANDALS - DAY 174: 5 MINUTE FREEWRITE
I know this place smells like sulfur, even though, by now I have forgotten that rotten stench, I have been here for so long I got used to it, sometimes I can almost taste the pungent odor down my throat as I lay on the concrete floor. My thoughts are becoming hard as the stone floor beneath me.
Its been 5 years since project eclipse, a government experiment gone bad, ever since, the world has been flung into a never-ending circle of war, blood and torment.
I felt my stomach rumbling as I bite down the hard stale bread I've been saving for two days now, I have to be strong, especially for today, the day the vandals strike at the heart of the tyrannical government snakes that have polluted this earth for so long.
I know the name "vandals" sounds ironic for our cause, believe me, we didn't pick that name, It was given to us by the cabals in power, "Filthy vandals" they call us, but we boldly claim that name.
"for we are determined to vandalize the establishment, we are going to put an end to this eclipse once and for all!"
Those were the words of our leader, the same words that moved me to join the vandals movement.
I was deep in my thoughts when I heard some faint steps approaching.
"Oi! Boris, are the molotovs ready mate?"
I hurriedly fill up the last bottle as we get ready for our attack.

Yes @abmakko, I like the revolutionary feel to this free-write. The way that the freedom fighters are called vandals hits home for present day, let alone a dystopian future. Very nicely written. Let's hope one day this thing we're all in can vandalize the central banking system and bring some equality to the world in regards to standards of living! I enjoyed this freewrite :-)
That is the Gospel truth @raj808 , with the rise of decentralized platforms, I guess we can call ourselves digital vandals, bringing disruption to traditional finance.
