The Happiest Place in the whole world
What's your happiest place?
A place that makes you happy?
For me, its anywhere in this big clumsy beautiful world with my parents. ANYWHERE WITH THEM.
I love both of them so much so I can literally move mountains for their happiness. I am grateful
Grateful for they taught me how to speak and how to walk.
Grateful for they took care of me when I was little, when I was sick, when I cried.
Grateful for every single sacrifice they made for me and my sibling's needs & happiness. Still remember how my mother would save money to buy us everything we needed and not caring about her needs, her wishes.
I am in absolute love with myself today and I am proud of who I am as a person deep within the heart and the credit goes to my parents only. At times, I really wonder how I am going to put some of my traits into my children in future.
I was born & brought up in a small town in India and got my education there. After college, I moved to the capital city of India - Delhi to work in IT companies. Now I visit my parents on weekends. Whenever I skip a weekend, the end of the next weekend becomes pretty dull, I lose my energy and focus. I don't see a reason of working hard anymore because I get lost in the chaos of the big city and vibes of all those fancy negative people.
Let me tell you this - In India, its not easy or common for a girl to have a boyfriend(although all of us have them), its just that 95% of the parent's population are not supportive. It was three years ago, when my parents got to know about mine. Twist of the reality is, my boyfriend and I come from two different castes and are really looking to marry each other. Marriage in different castes is a big deal in Indian Society and parents go through a lot of pressure and taunts tantrums. Initially my parents were surprised, it was as if I literally broke their hearts. It was a real tough time for me because I love both my parents and my boyfriend. With time they accepted him and will get me married to him next year most probably. So yeah its like they gathered the courage to ignore the society just for my happiness. My relationship with my parents became even stronger after this incident. They love me much more today and I deeply respect them for their support.
I turned 25 in march this year and they pampered me just the same way with cakes and gifts.
I just don't have words for these two and what I am going to do without them. They are the HAPPINESS in my HAPPY WORLD.
I love to spend a quiet sunday with them. I go on places with them and make sure they are comfortable and are enjoying. They are caring and funny too. I taught my mom how to operate a smartphone which she loves way too much, do not know why ;D . I make sure she gets every single thing she likes. I help my dad in his business a little, the part which he is not able to understand because of the advanced technology.
My brother thinks they are weird, but I love weird 100%.

What an inspiring post, your parents are so blessed to have a daughter like you!
I have a number of Indian friends so have heard all about the traumas with parents when couples are from different castes, fortunately in most instances the parents realise the child's happiness is more important than old fashioned rules not so, otherwise there'll be much heartache! Enjoy your parents and thank you for an uplifting post!
thank you lizelle for appreciating, good to know you have many indian friends 😁
Yeah such a blessing that parents try to understand love needs of their children 👶

So great to see that you adore your parents.
Families are in trouble over here, as in our work we deal with a lot of old people whose children has dumped them.
It hurts to see their loneliness after they had given their lives for their children.
But such is life and we do for them what we can.
Blessings!
Oh, that's the case here too. My heart goes out to all those parents and wish God would heal souls of such children who abandon their parents.

Hello there! I am glad your parents aren't too strict and allowed you to break the norms of society.
That system of castes is incomprehensible and unaceptable where I live. We really live in world's apart. 😃
Yeah world's apart trin, glad the system is not there in your part of the world :)
