Today is Black Cat Day
According to an article in the UK Telegraph, black cats are still suffering from the stigma of perception as bad omens. Animal shelters in the United States still claim difficulty in finding new homes for black cats. It has been speculated that one reason for their less than popular image could be due to the difficulty in getting good photographs of black cats.
On the other hand, some people consider black cats a sign of good luck. And there are people like myself who admire them for their elegance and mysterious nature.
Please be kind to all living creatures, and have some respect for black cats.
