Kyoto Smart Coffee 京都スマート珈琲

This is one of my favorite cafe in Kyoto, Smart Coffee. The interior is very warm and old school. The seats are in leather and sugar is put inside a tin can. It's the type of cafe that should exist in a movie.

The coffee is old school as well: Dark roasted and a bit bitter, none of that hipster crap. (Just kidding, I love light roasted coffee.) However, what keeps me coming back is their French Toast.

It's not a typical French Toast, It's a bit burned on the outside, but silky smooth on the inside. Pour some maple syrup over it, it's a perfect dish to start your day.

Smart Coffee是我在京都最愛的其中一家cafe. 他的咖啡很老派, 沒有什麼烘的像青蘋果/葡萄/百香果這些有的沒有的精品咖啡豆, 就是苦苦澀澀的大人味. 他的方塊糖是放在大方的金屬盒, 你愛加多少就加多少.

不過讓我一再重返的是他的法式吐司. 不知道他們怎麼做的, 就算外面有點焦, 裡面可是非常軟嫩, 帶著濃濃的牛奶香. 再淋上他們附的加拿大楓糖, 這真的是一道讓人罪惡感很深但又一定要吃到的早餐.

下次如果你在京都錦市場附近, 記得繞過去喝杯舊時光的咖啡跟肥死人不償命法式吐司喔
