Sprouts Recipe Healthy and Delicious food for breakfast - foodphotography

Sprouts are very healthy food. Split Green gram sprouts are also called as moong dal sprouts in India. These sprouts recipe is full of nutrients and energy. Have daily sprouts and gets lots of energy.

I don't have a DSLR camera. I click photo with my Samsung Galaxy J7 phone.

Ingredients for Moong dal spouts recipe :

  • 1 cup moong dal (Split Green gram)
  • 2-3 green chili (optional)
  • 1 chopped carrot
  • 2 medium size chopped tomatoes
  • 2 medium size chopped onions
  • 1/2 chopped cucumber ( i haven't added on it, but you can add this also)
  • 1/4 glass of water
  • 1 tea spoon Roasted cumin seeds (jeera) - ( optional ingredients)
  • Chaat masala
  • 1 spoon of cooking oil
  • Salt according to taste
  • black pepper powder or crushed black pepper
  • Red chilli powder or red chilli flakes (optional)
  • Bire noon or black salat (kala namak )
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1/2 spoon lemon juice ( I haven't added on it, but you can add little bit for sour taste)
  • Secret Ingredient - Find that ingredient in the step of preparing it

Quick Tip to enhance taste : You are free to add other vegetables on it like broccoli, cucumber etc.

Steps for preparing it

  • Take 1/2 cup of Split Green gram (moong dal) soak it in water for 7 hours. After that remove water from it and put it into bowl and cover it. After few hours generally in 7-8 hours you will see the spouts on it. In winters it takes more time to appear sprouts on it.
  • Put cooking oil in pan and add spouted split green gram on it and stir it for 1-2 minutes. Add water and little bit of salt on it. After that cover the pan. Turn off the gas stove after 6-7 minutes. We don't have to cook it completely. It will taste good if it is half cooked.

Note : You can make it without cooking on it. Raw sprouts are also delicious in taste. I will advice for quick preparation use raw sprouts. Do not cook it.

  • Take sprouts in bowl. Mix all the vegetables on it.
  • Add all the spices on it.
  • Mix all it well.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves. ( I haven't added it on my recipe because i don't like coriander leaves )
  • Secret ingredient to add this recipe is Extra virgin olive oil. Use 1 or 2 spoon according to your taste on it. It will enhances the taste of it

Garnishing Tips :

  1. Add this into bowl and garnish it with coriander and other vegetables you used on it. Cut those vegetables in different shapes and try experiment with garnishing.
  2. You can use plate also. Use different shape vegetables and experiment with garnishing.

Important Note :

  1. Do not add red chili powder and green chili if you are making it for kids.
  2. If you do not find any ingredient then don't add it. It will still taste good.

Your video is very self explaing but would you please write down the names of the ingredients into your post in english as well? This dish looks so great and yummy and I watched all the video but can sometimes only guess about the ingredients. Thank you! Steem on! 🙋🏼

Hi @pusteblume. You can read the full recipe and ingredients on my post. I updated post on your request.
I have mentioned all the optional ingredients as well as additional ingredients which you can use it. I have added a secret ingredient on it, which i haven't mentioned in my video. I have mentioned some tips also.

I know my videos are in Hindi language. it is difficult for those who don't know Hindi. I will try to add subtitles on all of my videos. It is already in my to do list. But it will take some time.
