Porridge with cinnamon, cranberries and maple syrup
Ingredients
150 g oatmeal
300 ml almond milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch of 4 spices
1 pinch of vanilla extract
1 large handful of dried cranberries
60 g fresh cranberries
Maple syrup
Coconut, almonds and other dried fruits
Preparation
Place the oatmeal in a saucepan and pour the almond milk.
Bring to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Check the consistency, the porridge should be thick but not too dry.
If it is too dense you can add more milk.
If it is too liquid let reduce a little over medium heat or add an extra tablespoon of flakes.
Add the spices then the fresh cranberries.
Serve warm with dried cranberries.
Sprinkle liberally with maple syrup and sprinkle with crushed almonds, coconut or other dried fruits.
