Original FISH BIRYANI
Today, I will share with you a family favourite recipe Biryani. It takes time to prepare, however all best things takes time to prepare.
Ingredients
- 2 pieces filleted FISH (today I will be using line fish)
- 3-4 large potatoes (cut in half’s and fried)
- 2 onions finely chopped and golden fried
- 3 cups basmati rice(parboiled for 5-7 minutes)
- 3 Tbls red chilli and garlic paste
- 3 Tbls grounded cumin and coriander seeds
- 6-7 whole black pepper corn
- 6-7 whole cloves
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1-2 lemon or lime juice
- 5-7 Tbls unsalted butter
- 3 full cinnamon sticks
- 5-6 cardamom pods
- ½ tsp Saffron soaked in full cup of boiling water
- 3-5 Tbls oil
- 1 full fresh green and red chilli
- Salt to taste

Method
- In a bowl add fried onions,
red chilli and garlic paste,
grounded cumin and coriander seeds
lemon or lime juice
turmeric
grounded cumin and coriander seeds
½ of the saffron water
salt to taste
and mix
- Add the fish and potatoes to the mix
- In a pot spread ½ of the unsalted butter
Add the 3-4 black pepper corns,
3-4 cardamom pods ,
cinnamon sticks
oil
fresh green and red chilli
- Now place fish and potatoes around the pot leaving the rest of the mix
- Mix the parboiled rice to the mix ( leaving a small amount of rice aside)
- Spread the rest of the white rice spices and unsalted butter around
ALLOW TO COOK ON A MEDIUM TO LOW HEAT FOR 35-45 MINUTES AND ENJOY
