I worked for about 2 years in a traditional Arabic restaurant, that's why I can share this recipe with you today.
Myadra with Pork chop & roasted zucchini
The Myadra is a traditional dish from the Middle East. the people I used to work with are from Syria and they ate it very often. I learned how to prepare it by watching ... It is a simple dish of rice with lentils and roasted onions, accompanied with vegetables and pork. I decided to use a pork chop.
Preparing it is simple and I hope that this step by step will serve to give you encouragement and prepare it in your home. -I know that you want to discover new flavors-
Here is the list of ingredients:
2 cups of rice - 1 cup of lentils
1 and a half onion - Olive oil - Salt

Cook the lentils in 2.5 cups of water until they soften (The water will dry up). Always remember to wash all foods before preparing them. The process of cooking the lentils is fast, due to the amount used for this recipe. Approximately 15min.
When the lentils are soft, add the 2 cups of rice directly in the pot. Add salt and the necessary water. Taking into account that for each cup of rice, 2 of water. This measure will not apply, use the remaining water of the lentils and add 1 and a half cup of water. Cover the pot and cook over medium heat. You should be in constant review in case the water dries very fast.

The remaining oil you add to the preparation of Myadra, mix well. let the oil cool before adding it
